Sandra wrote on your Wall:

"Thank you so much for online worship. John and I are home sick today, but
I was able to worship with you online. I was with the 11:00 service. I
want you to know that these sermons are reaching me and I'm sure others as
well. I am pleased with your boldness and courage. It's not always easy to
reach folks my age but you do so every wk. The service was great. You
handled things so well. Thanks for coming back to pray at the end of the
service. We will pray here as well. God bless your ministry."

Tech Crew Help Wanted February 25 and Crew for March 1

First, Wednesday night is our Ash Wednesday service. We will need a full
crew to record the service:

CG, Video Director, Lights, Cameras

Please reply ASAP if you can be here at 6:15 Wednesday to help.

This coming Sunday is communion Sunday and Team C

* Lighting: Deb or Ralph
* CG: Katie
* Video Director:
* Cameras: Denise and Ralph or Deb

I don't know how comfortable Deb and/or Ralph feel on lights to run solo
yet. If I can get a light trainer to sit by one of them this week, that
would be great. Also, I really need to start training other people how to
video direct, so if you are interested in learning, let me know.

Crew For Sunday February 22 - Help wanted!

This coming Sunday is Team B: Help wanted!

* Lighting: Jim
* CG: Lisa
* Cameras: Denise, Fred and OPEN*

*I would like a third camera operator for this week due to a special guest.
The Splat Experience will be doing some performance art on a giant 8 foot by
8 foot canvas in the center of the stage. To accommodate it and get the best
shots, I am going to set up "Camera 4" on the right side of the balcony. So
we will need an extra camera operator over there to run that camera. This
will give us a cool angle of the artist, plus we will be able to see around
the canvas to see the band/orchestra and praise team.

ATTENTION MEN!

If you have not already signed up, call the church office to register for
the Momentum Event this Friday and Saturday. It is a great weekend of
worship and fellowship. It kicks off with a tailgate party on Friday Night
in the Bell Shoals Baptist Church parking lot. The night winds down about 9
or 10. Then at 8 a.m. (I think) 'ril noon, we're back for more worship and
teaching.

I'm signed up! So be there!

Stuart

(P. S. For full disclosure I most likely won't make the Friday night
experience, but I will make the Saturday for sure!)

What are doing with your days and nights

Want to help out tech but maybe you aren't up to serving at a service or
aren't available? Help out around the office! There are a lot of tasks that
don't have to been AT a certain time, but simply BY a certain time/day. Some
can even be done at home! Training is available for everything.

CD/DVD duplication

* Label and copy original recording from Sunday
* Label and make copies of DVDs and CDs ordered
* Label and make copies of praise team practice CDs

Data processing

* Download song lyrics into MediaShout and MS Word
* Format and arrange the songs in the correct order as sung
* Occasionally, songs need to be typed out "by hand"
* Log "used discs" into register
* Log copyright information on all songs performed
* Report copyright info to reporting agency

Media Filing

* Organize and file past recordings into the archive library (read
"closet")

Graphic Design

* Create, find or take your own song background pictures
* Pick the most "fitting" background for each song
* Create eye-catching announcement graphics for the service and the
"loop"

If you are interested in helping with any of these tasks, give Stuart or
Janeen a shout at church 689-4161 or media@fumcbrandon.org.

Crew For Sunday, February 15 - Team A

This Sunday is Team A. If you want a CD to listen to of the music for this
week, please stop by my office in the sanctuary.

* Lighting: Andrew
* CG: Dave
* Camera: Denise

I am also going to send another e-mail with the new rotation. The only
changes are the Jeff has stepped down, and Ralph L. has been added to Team
C.

Church Volunteer Articles

I found this post among the blogs I read with links to articles about tech
volunteers and recruiting. I hope we can all strive to recruit more tech
volunteers in our own spheres of influence.

Media Resources

Here are several site where you can find useful stuff for your church media
department

Media resources

Worshipfilms.com - motion video and still backgrounds as well as "ckips" for
sermons, etc. Buy individually or in volumes

Sermonspice.com -

Sermonvideos.com -

Worshiphousemedia.com -

Sermonade.com -

Meatloafmedia.com -

- all different individual videos, backgrounds, everything. Some of
the sites are better than others. And also some are stores so you'll see the
same media at each one.

Shoutable.com - the store of Mediashout plug-ins and movies.

Highwayvideo.com - very contemporary videos

lifechurch.tv/free-church-resources - this is a church that basically gives
away every media they make! Very cool stuff.

Flashlightfilms.com - Hollywood caliber Christmas and Easter videos of
Jesus, etc.

Tools

Mediashout.com

Easyworship.com

- two different programs for doing "church media"

midnightoilproductions.com - great sermon title stills and movies, also good
training resources

http://www.textweek.com/movies/themeindex.htm - Movie Theme Index, okay

Movieministry.com - subscription that categorizes movie clips - better

You know that you need a license to play movie clips, right?!

CVLI.com - Christian Video Licensing (if you're at a Methodist church,
contact the conference.)

Screenvue.com - a service of CVLI, basic is included with CVLI. Movie clips
by topic, PLU, some of the clips are downloadable right from the site. Even
stuff that isn't on DVD yet.

I hope that is helpful!

Several Clients Share their testimonies on how the LifeCare of Brandon center (formerly known as Care Pregnancy Center of Brandon) has changed their life. This is the short version used on January 18.

Superbowl tech

We will need massive help on February 1 to help set up for the Super Bowl,
primarily due to the screen set-up. Here is a list of TECH resources and
where they will be acquired from. If you think something is missing, please
advise.

1. Video Projector (floater from S.H.)
2. Screen - already in B&G, need power/controller from shed
3. Long S-video or composite cables - Chapel booth has most of the long
cables now.

* We may need "barrels" if we are short. It is easier to put the tuner
by the sound and run one cable to the projector, than to put the tuner by
the projector and run two long cables to the PA.

4. Long COAX antenna cable to put antenna outside - upstairs Sanctuary
mech. room
5. Extension cords - green box from Sanctuary booth
6. Digital converter box - from Sanctuary booth (don't forget the
remote!)
7. Antenna - from Sanctuary booth
8. Sound system - need to discuss with Robin. I don't think any of us
will find the Passport adequate.

* Amp
* Speakers with stands
* Speaker cables
* One mic
* Long mic cable(s)
