Special Tech Opportunities

McLane Middle School Video Crew

McLane Middle School is holding their annual Awards Ceremony in our
Sanctuary on Thursday May 3. Since it is a full house for this event, they
have requested that we have IMAG on the side screens (That is, to have live
cameras of what is happening). They will also have a "PowerPoint"
presentation for walk-in. If you can help at this event with cameras, please
be here no later that 6:30 pm, May 3. I also would like to turn this into a
fund-raiser by selling DVDs of the events to parents, etc (pending approval
by the necessary people). But that will require a full crew. Please e-mail
me if you can help!

Spring Sound Seminars

Robin will be having a series of 4 different classes covering the main
aspects of sound mixing for music groups. Please sign up on the clipboard in
the music dept. hallway (across from Desi's office) or e-mail me. They will
be Saturdays, May 5, 12, 19, and 26, from 1pm til ??. Come and learn the new
board! I believe that is is highly recommended that you attend them in
order, but not necessary.

Technical Arts Special Report!

Please help promote the Technical Arts at the membership class. Show people that anyone can serve in Technical Arts.

McLane Middle School Awards Ceremony - Thursday May 3rd, 6:00 Call Time

This is a big event! Last year it was standing room only. I would like a full crew for this; we want to be able to do IMAG, and make DVDs available for parents. There also may be some video or "PowerPoint" presentations to play back.
Summer Stuff!

July 1 Service

We will need a full crew for this event. We are tentatively going to have only one service. This will be a special team event, with extra crew. Rehearsals would be Monday and Tuesday (June 25 & 26) at 7:00 pm, and Wednesday June 27 at 7:30 pm.

Vacation Bible School - July 9-13, 8 am - 12:30-ish

Please consider volunteering with Technical Arts for VBS this year. We need lights, CG, and even cameras for the opening and closing sessions each day. In addition, we will be shooting footage of all the fun on campus each day, and compiling "dailies." Parents will be able to pre-order copies of this to help support the Technical Arts. A great chance to learn to shoot and edit.

Wednesday April 18 - Wednesday service

Please come and attend or help out with the service.

Crew for April 22 (Team C) Only need help at 8 am due to Children's services. I will need to be at all three, but if anyone would like to mentor a child at the other two services, Shelly and I would appreciate it.

April 29 Membership Class - I would like one (or a few) volunteers to attend the new member class during 11 am on April 29 to recruit some volunteers. Just let people know how easy it is to learn.

Summer Schedule - I have already started to work on the summer schedule (June-August). Please plan your vacations and let me know when they are. I realize that I may need to create "custom" schedules for some of you.

July 1 Service - "America - We Must Not Forget" - Please sign up for the special team for this service. At the very least, we will have a rehearsal on Wed. June 27 at 7:30 pm. Jeff has not said, but there will probably be rehearsals Monday and Tuesday, 25 and 26.

"People of Passion" soundtrack

The newly remixed and professionally recorded "People of Passion" soundtrack is available fro $8 in the narthex. The version of last years "original cast" is amazing. It is a professional "pressed" CD, just like you would buy at a store, not a CD-R like we usually make.

Family Heritage Sunday Crew (Team A)

This Sunday, April 15, there is only ONE service at 10 AM, followed by a church picnic at the Boys & Girls Club. Call Time will be 9:15. As you can see, we still need help.

Rehearsal

If any of you can come on Wednesday night at 7:30 for an 8-9:30 pm rehearsal, please let me know! We will run the entire thing through that night, including the dance.

Parking

Please help out this Sunday by parking in the bank or Exit Realty lot. (we have permission). Since everyone will be coming to one service, spaces will be at a premium. And as an extra bonus, everyone on the crew receives their lunch for FREE.  Sorry, does not include spouses unless they help out, too.

Holy Week is under way! Below is the schedule for tech this week.

• Wednesday, April 4 - NO SERVICE
• Wednesday, April 4 - 7:30 pm - Rehearsal - If you are on the crew for April 8, and can make this rehearsal, please be here at 7:15
• Thursday, April 5 - Living Last Supper - 7:30 pm Please be here at 7:00 to be assigned a position. We will need a full crew in order to record the event.
• Sunday, April 8 - 8, 9:30 & 11:00 am services. There will be the "cantata" program at 9:30 and 11:00, but we also need a crew for 8:00 where the bells will be playing.

Sunday April 8 - Team C

Here is the crew for Sunday. There are a lot of openings, please e-mail me if you can fill in anywhere. There is a dance at 9:30 and 11:00 that could use spot lights. Invite your friends!
